Where to even begin with this check-in…

It’s close to on time?

That’s about the best thing I can say today.

I took snaps of my scale yesterday and I haven’t even looked at the numbers yet. I honestly don’t want to. They’re sitting on my phone next to me and I’m dreading them. December-Jan has been a generi-celebra-mess. Between celebrating Christmas with my friends to New Year’s Eve to MAGfest… I can’t even fathom how much garbage I have consumed or even begin to consider how off my regular workout schedule I’ve been. However, those are the breaks and this is real life, right? Let’s just get to it because I think I’m using this intro paragraph to put off looking at the numbers even more…

January 2014 Health Stats

Height: 5’5”
Weight: 147.2 [+3  (This Month)] [-7.8 (From Start)]
Muscle Mass: 35.4% [-.3 (This Month)] [+.6 (From Start)]
Bone Mass: 4.9% [Static]
Body Water: 54.4% [-.5 (This Month)] [+0.6 (From Start)]
Body Fat: 22.6% [+.7  (This Month)] [-1(From Start)]

Ugh. Yeah. That was pretty much as awful as I expected it to be. I haven’t REVERSED any numbers since I started looking at everything. Until today. Blah.

Ok. Enough feeling sorry for myself. That’s just pointless, right? What’s done is done. PLUS I’m on the tail end of my period so I’m sure that counts for SOMETHING right? Right. Anyhow, regardless of lady-happenings, I’m back on my regular grind (this month is Crossfit per usual, Oly per usual, and subbing Kickboxing for Derby since no px until February) and I’m gonna get right back to it.

PR Updates

This is much more inspiring. Here goes:

Box Jump: 40.5″
Clean & Jerk: 135#
HSPUs (Strict, No AbMat): 2
OHS: 130#
Push Press: 130#
Snatch: 100# on 12/30 AND 105# on 1/10!!!

Alright. That makes me feel kind of better. I’m going to keep working and keep progressing, regardless of setback times. Realistically, none of that is *that* insurmountable. Plus, I have some really fun goals for myself for the first time in Crossfit that I’m going to work on, so hopefully that will give me some extra push. And derby starts up again before the next check-in. I can’t believe it! Time is so slippery…
